Wasserburg,
Southern Germany
City Museum
July 1
Wasserburg is an old city that didn't need to be walled. It's surrounded by a loop of the River Inn except for a small spit of land on the west edge of the city. There is a guarded bridge to the south and in it's heyday the city was a natural impregnable fort from which tolls could be collected from the river traffic.
The Museum Wasserburg is like many small city museums, just a collection of antiques collected from local families and maybe some local industries. Every town in the US has one and Europe is no different. If there's time, most are fairly interesting but many are in the "if you've seen one. . ." category.
We haven't visited very many yet in Europe so Terry took the camera for a stroll through the 10 rooms of this one while Bob shopped for a picnic lunch.

Whether it's a Wasserburg specialty or they just ended up with lots of egg cups wasn't explained (at least not in English).
