A Porter-ish Southern Brown with some rye notes.

Sometimes it’s good to be a bit nutty. Take, for instance, our Nut Hugger Brown Ale, a unique twist on a traditional recipe. The familiar, pleasant bitterness you would expect from a brown ale is present, tempered by a full, chewy caramel malt. However, things get interesting once you taste the hints of roasted biscuit and the chocolaty aroma, and to top it off, a touch of sweetness in the finish. Orignially, brown ale hails from England, where it first emerged in the 1600’s. The inclusion of American hops, however, lends Nut Hugger Brown Ale a satisfying bite.

Northern England Nut Brown Ale

Same as our regular amber with a slight hint of whiskey and oak give it a crisp finish.

American Brown Ale. Malty with a dry finish.

A fun and nuanced brown, our Four Barrel offers a very earthy, malty nose with light hop overtones. You’ll taste nuttiness, caramel and even coffee that we’ve finished with some light hops for a very nice balance.

Northern English Brown

American-style Brown Ale. Very dark brown color. Full bodied. Malt, caramel, nuts, and toffee notes.

A medium-bodied Brown ale with moderate hop bitterness that has a unique slightly nutty flavor in the finish. Dry-hopped to enhance the hop aroma. Dirty Helen was a famous tavern owner in Milwaukee. She was known for her dirty mouth, cussing out any customer that ordered a brand of scotch or whiskey that she did not carry.

British Dark Mild Ale. "We’ve dubbed it 'Imperial Mild' because it’s a shade stronger than classic Mild. Light (bodied) but dark (colored), Community Dark is the ideal session ale and the best place to begin overcoming one’s irrational fear of the dark. English malts; lightly hopped with East Kent Goldings."

Dark clear light American Brown with infinitely-lasting tan head. A+ for looks. Light aroma. Massive chocolate malt belies the light color.

Dark Northern Brown

Porter. Toffee, semi-sweet chocolate, and roasted notes.

Uniquely thick, creamy with a bold but light malt taste.
